    rat poison does not kill chickens. it kills animals that have fur. a vet told me that (when my chickens ate rat poison).

    it was german shepherd or GS mix? if I remember well. I have 2 GS that are tied at day time. I don't trust them as they killed some of my animals as well as any cat that came near. my 2 cats stay inside at night when my dogs are free.

    I let a silkie hen to sit but she was interested in sitting only. luckily I was there when 2 chicks walked away and the other silkies tried to kill them. I tried to put them under their mom but she pecked them too. I had some chicks in the brooder so they survived.

    these boys are light cuckoo/double barred (french sop). english cuckoo are dark/single barred.
