here they are. The hens are doing a good job of sharing the chicks.

All 5 eggs hatched!

We have 3 now, the other one was still wet so I left it under the hen. It is yellow.

We have 2 chicks this morning! I guess the egg that I found outside made it. They are so tiny! I will try to get pictures later. 3 more eggs to go.

I didn't think to check I just wanted to get it back under the hen as quickly as possible. Should I go back and check or leave it for now?

I noticed an egg outside of the seramas broody box. I picked it up and it has pipped! not sure why it was outside? i slipped it back under the hen and noticed a pip on another egg. Its day 19 for them. not sure how long the egg was outside maybe a few hours, does it still have a chance?

They lay a tiny cream colored egg. I'm new to this breed, but seems like all of my girls want to sit on everything! Very dedicated also. Yeah I noticed that lol caramel was a late bloomer. They all hatched at the same time.

I can't tell you how many times I've had to explain where all these new chicks came from! I got a cackle surprise box last month Didn't tell anyone till I walked through the door with them lol should have seen the looks I got. The kids always love it though! I've been looking at hatching eggs...

I've never seen such broody hens! They have barely started laying and already want to sit. I need to get a picture of them.

She had been sitting on her 5 eggs for the past week, I think she did ok. They are all alive. I'm sure she is more comfortable now though. I'm not sure how many eggs a serama can cover on average?? Maybe someone else can chime in. We are so excited!!!!!

I went to check on our broody it seems one of the other hens has decided to help her out and took some of the eggs. So now one has 3 and the other has 2. I checked them and they all look great! Nice veins! We are on day 8.
