My dad just called from the hospital and he says that my mom is out of surgery and in recovery. The doctor said that everything went according to plan during the surgery and that he thinks the “new knee” will give her a lot of additional function (He thought her old knee looked really bad)...

Hi, sorry, I just realized that I never posted an update! Our veteran friend has been doing great, he recently called to say that he can hear music for the first time since I-don’t-know-when, which is great. Praise the Lord!

Thank you so much, he means a lot to our family. My dad has know him since college, and most of his family is dead or lives out of town. Fortunately my dad’s other college friends can help him out if he needs it. He is a VERY tough cookie, endured more than I ever could.
