Don’t stop searching, Blue!
We’ve studied so much, turned away from so much & so many teachers (especially those who were blinded to the contradictions Paul taught when Jesus was dead).
Men (mostly catholics) chose what books would become the modern Bible. KJV was altered to fit agendas…...
You’re right, Blue. Any discussions on dogma, tradition, and interpretation vs translation should be discussed elsewhere.
It’s just unfortunate that more Biblical scholars aren’t pursuing the truths to share with their congregants…instead of just passing on the mistranslations. It’s a...
All of nature (except most of mankind) praises the Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth. Jesus praised Him & taught his people to pray only to the Almighty, as he did so many times in his shortened life.
Lots of Wedding traditions, not mandated by God.
The main mandate is for the couple to be unmarried (to others) and male & female.
At the Mountain of God, certain restrictions on if the Bride & Groom were related were added by God. Marriage outside of the Faith was forbidden.
I hope no one minds or takes offense when I give ancient testimony to some of the comments posted here.
I have been directed from The Most High to plant seeds. My job isn’t to plow them or water them.
Congratulations to the expectant parents and grandparents! Why does it sadden you?
Are they committing adultery? If not, they are Biblically married as of the first time they had intercourse.
There’s no formal marriage ceremony, in the Bible. The only man-made formality was the showing the...

This happened to me within a couple of hours after responding to your post:
I was approached by a Servant of God who said “I think pride is the root of all sin”.
He had no idea I had just posted to you.
I said nothing, was thinking plenty, though!
Isn’t that something!
On a totally different subject , I’d like to share a study I am working on. This is a unfinished work…. Any thoughts so far? It’s basically the history of the modern Bible.
One more definition:
DISOBEDIENCE, noun [dis and obedience.]
1. Neglect or refusal to obey; violation of a command or prohibition; the omission of that which is commanded to be done, or the doing of that which is forbid; breach of duty prescribed by authority.
2. Non-compliance.
