I caught one of the opossums last night. Dispatching it was a kindness. I really do not understand how it survived as long as it did. It was deaf, blind, and malformed. It was so dehydrated it didn't bleed when I shot it. Quality of life was non-existent for it.

Very stressful. Especially the coyote. Cat food is absolutely the next thing I'm trying. I forgot to bait it again and I'm not going outside again tonight. I'm probably going to have to resort to using traps for the coyote since I can't stay awake all night and shoot it.

It impaled itself on the chain link fence when it fell out of a tree. Caught it in the guts, so there was nothing else I could for it. :(
