That's the probelm, when I do candle in th edark, all I see is pitch black!
and I look really hard, at night, in the chicken coop, with only the canlder on!

not really but It's her first time, I've got 3 eggs, Black Americauna Broody and hopfully 3 Black Americauna eggs for sure, they are going to a friend's farm (who just got chickens, from our last broody for thier first chickens, and they temporailly have the broody too untill the chicks grow up...
hello, I know it's been a long time since I came on this thread, but I've got a small question....
I've got an egg with a thicker shell than normal, will that have a negitove effect of the chick? (it's due to hatch any day now)

The Buff died the evening it was born :(
It was a black Americauna that was in the egg i mentioed
and we had another buff hatch
and just today we had ANOTHER buff hatch (It's still wet!)
Sorry I have not said anything in a while, but I just thought I woudl come and say that on the 13th I had a white Chantacleir hatch and today (17th) I had a buff Ameiricauna hatch and they are both heathy and happy chicks! :wee

Beacuse I found it like that yestrday, and I have no idea how old it is, I have 9 eggs, Amd I can't get more (Good reason) so I'm trrying to keep all I have (And no ruin all of them for the 2nd time)
