The black and white one with the white spot on the head is the marans, the dark black/ brown with the patchy yellow marks around the eyes/ face is the wyandotte, I believe the dark brown with the puffy cheeks is araucana (what color did you order?) and the chipmunky one is the SS.

I'll try and get one tonight of my normal "crested" spitz and my mutant non-crested one :) so you can see their feather patterns are almost identical.

And the Hamburgs have those funny pointy combs. This one has almost no comb.

You know what I think, that she's a non-crested (ie genetic reject!) spitz with no poof/ crest. I have one that IS crested that looks exactly like this...maybe??

Barred rock based on the single comb. Dominiques have a flat/ cushion type comb. Looks dark with dark legs like a pullet, though. :D

Still working on the Cackle Mystery chicks :) I have two like the first pics - these were not obvious polish but have suddenly sprouted funny little crests, much like my cream legbars did last year. But the coloring is black and white/ silver. Maybe a silver laced polish? But why the sudden...

Here are 4 more. One is a barred rock I think but pullet or roo? I think there are some australorps as well (black and white with black and pink feet)? and maybe a silver laced wyandotte? and a red sex link roo?

These are 4 week old chicks from part of a Cackle Hatchery "Surprise" box. Some of them I can figure out the breeds, but a few are ?!?! If you can comment on sex, I would appreciate it!
