I’m a few months from getting any new chickies, but come February or March I’ll be obsessing all over again. ;)

Are they really tiny because they look like old English game bantams to me, and if that's so the first is likely male and the second is female.

One last debate on these before they officially join the roo crew box this weekend for rehoming. Thank you all for doing this for so many people, y'all are a godsend. :hugs White Cochin bantam, 10 weeks old. Has a hen like body to me but I caught it trying to make some crow sounds alongside my...

Compared to my pullet, your Sumatra looks very roo-ish to me based on the shape of the tail.

Also 10 weeks old, seemed to put on some comb early but it really hasn't grown or changed in the last few weeks with any speed. Thank you.

10 weeks old, last call before rehoming. The porcelain is silent, shy, and very laid back but I think I'm seeing some hackles and saddle feather growth. All still in favor of roo? The white is another matter. Big pink comb that darkens with handling but usually pale, especially compared to...

Two d'Uccles today, who were silent when all my naughty Cochin boys started up their first crow this morning. Any chance for a pullet between them?

6 week old chicks, looking to rehome more of my suspected roosters once I'm doubly sure. 5 toes and funny looking, will my Sultan buddy meet the cut? White Cochin pullet in back? Roo in front? (And my black jap girl hiding in the back) Hmmm on this partridge Cochin Roo jap in front, but...

Updating with some of my young chicks, just looking for educated guesses as they grow so I can keep directing my research. I think half the fun is in learning about different breeds! Y'all have been a wealth of knowledge here. :) Just noticed 5 toes on this standoffish, white baby, maybe a...

No comb development yet, just a small triangular patch that looks like fine grit, black sandpaper. It's those long legs and the general shape of the head that make it stand out so much from the other 19 fluff balls I got yesterday, all mostly brahmas, Cochins, japs and oegbs from what I can tell.

I know this chick is superrrrr young, but am I right to suspect a black sumatra or are these long, funny legs deceiving me?
