Sweet - I paid my membership, jeez.....back in Feb(?)...he responded about three weeks later and told me he got it; but, then nothing. I'm very glad to see that things may get rolling to get the breeder's club back up and running again.
With him out of school, now, maybe communications won't...
My eggs from Dick Horstman arrived. He sent two marked SPR - not sure what those are; but, have them flagged. Here's hoping I get a partially decent hatch!
I wish he'd have just reached out to me instead of waiting for me to contact him...Any time I hear from him it's because I've reached out to him to ask for an update. He's still not sent the eggs for me, so I'm guessing he's still having problems. I'd be willing to take them and take my...
Trying to stick with his line....but, can't do much sticking when the lines aren't coming. He asked if I wanted a refund and I told him I'd wait it out; but, I'm wondering if I'll be waiting until 2014 I really would like to get a separate line in this year.
I've found that the sorting facility at Austin that my eggs go through is pretty good...and, once they hit Georgetown's PO, I'm golden. The gal who delivers our mail makes us her first stop if she has eggs for me. So far, I've only had one cracked egg, no mis-routed eggs. Then again, I don't...
Congratulations.
Now, if the man would just send my eggs He's been having fertility issues and doesn't want to ship with low fertility rate. I can understand that. But, I'm pouting anyway cuz I really am looking forward to getting some of his eggs....when he can send them.
Dick is having fertility problems so his waiting list is backed up quite a ways (I'm still waiting on mine that were due to be delivered the last week of March).
Jeanne at Black Diamond is very, very nice. She gets confused easily, so be very clear with her. She will not ship until May since...
Well, I can state without any doubt or hesitation that Yinepu has indeed gotten 100% hatches on every batch since I've known her.
I can also state that incubating isn't all that difficult. My great uncle incubated in an open feed trough with heat lights. He had great success at it. I've...
x2
Was saying he'd ship them this week; but, I've not heard from him so - it could be a while longer. I know he has a pretty good sized waiting list, so I'll just be happy to get them at all.
I am getting reds and silver greys. My passion is the reds; but, I enjoy the silver greys as well. I feel like a kid anticipating Christmas.
My babies are eight days old and are like little kids following their older siblings around (my keets). The poor keets are twice the size of my...
I have eggs en route from Joyous for the Crele project...Dick should be sending me some in the next few weeks and Jeanne will be sending me some in May...I'm very much looking forward to it. I haz babiz in my brooder, right now, too that I can't wait to see grow up.
Not sure why. Serious breeders can certainly say whatever they want to say about their breeding options. Just because serious breeders approach things a certain way doesn't mean the fancier or more relaxed breeder has to walk in lockstep. Posting how you do things is never a problem, I...
That sounds quite adorable. I have to wait for my grandkids to be here to get doses of cuteness, like that. Somehow adults saying the same thing doesn't have quite the "awww" factor.
I don't know about it being specific to Dorkings. My Barred Rocks and my EEs have decimated about every ant hill I have, especially once they discovered the larvae down below the initial scratch or two.
Nary a one on here that has talked about any of their mixes has once said, nor implied that they sell them as pure dorkings. As a matter of fact, they have made it quite clear that they impart full details about the parentage of such hybrids.
