I have been averaging 2-3, but yesterday 4/4 that are laying. 4 laying, 1 broody, 2 that stop laying in Oct (2nd year in a row, they are Polish) and 3 that are only 10 weeks.
7 out of 7 today! Just filled my 3rd jar of eggs for water glassing. I have 2 jars with a dozen each and 1 with 2.5 dozen., which I figured is a good amount for is to bring upstairs and use.
Anyone have experience with water glassing? How long do you let them sit for before using?
7 yesterday. 3 so far today and two chickens in the same box when I just went, we will see who wins
**edit- got 7 and don't know who won because both their eggs where in the same box.
I did a lot of searching here first before starting. This is my first time doing it, so I haven't used any eggs but will use them in baking mainly in the winter. I found a lot of useful information in this thread...
6 yesterday and 7 today (out of 7). We just made an egg bake tonight to use some eggs. Also I put 30 eggs this month in jars for water glassing/preserving. Hope to do 30ish a month so we have eggs this late fall/winter.
