I think that is possible to do but why would they hatch mixed eggs like that to ship like that? How would they know for sure what they are shipping from what for sure hatched to meet the order?

THAT IS SO GREAT! For our Broody we put her in a small coop on her own, it worked well, specially after she had the chicks hatch, they had safe space of their own! Could you pen that nesting box in some place on it's own?

My Dad really wants us to get Turkeys in the spring. (He will help process them when he visits over Christmas next year!) but I know nothing about turkeys..... we free range our chickens, could we free range them too?

I have had some great luck with first eggs actually but I know logically it is not the best idea. Curiosity gets the better of me sometimes! We have seen a young EE roo on top of both the sizzle and the cochin!

The really dirty egg next to it is the off white eggs I have been wondering might be my young Cayuga duck laying. I guess we will see when/if it hatches!

I got a tiny little egg today! It is going into the incubator. It is kind of tan so I wonder if one of the silkies or cochins gave it to us. It was even in the nesting box!
