I am more inclined to think it is heat related or they ate something they shouldn’t have. Or a combo of both. They pick at and eat everything, and if they were affected by the heat it could lower their resistance and cause an illness.
I think heat is worse than cold sometimes.

We have similar product here, I started using the calcium & Vit D supplement last winter.
I think it helped with their eggs.
