I was excited to see what I would hatch out of my girls. I have my paint rooster. The eggs come from a black hen, a blue partridge hen and my paint hen. I'd love if one of my paints was a blue paint! I haven't got to inspect it that close. It's about 30 degrees out so I try not to move them from...

But I have 15 chicks coming in April for my layer flock. So I dont really need more layers. Shame my silkies are all slacking.

I have 2 girls laying. Maybe 3. The rest are to young or molting. Lol 😆 but I'd love to set eggs to hatch on my daughters birthday the 13th! I suppose I could set some of my layers eggs 🤔🤷‍♀️

It's the middle of winter here. 2 of my silkies went broody. One I broke when we did the coop swap. And the other had 3/4 hatch so far (she a good momma). Long as chicks aren't in my basement. She can hatch them when ever she wants.

I'm hoping for a paint baby today! 🤞🤞I had a white colored one hatch. But didn't inspect it yet! It was 3am and I didn't want to pester my flock to much lol. I'll check again in a few hrs!

My paint hen went broody a few weeks back. Now my blue partridge decided she wants to brood too. Broodiness is 100% contagious, you don't even need chick sounds lol

I had a beautiful paint silkie showgirl hatch this fall. But got trampled (had a pesky hawk dove bombing my pens) I cried. It was the cutest little thing.

Me either! I'll just be happy when all my girls finish molting...
