Here’s a couple side pictures of the mud monster lol. As I was going to let them out to run around, someone crowed!! Not sure who it was but it was sooo cute! So I think I read somewhere that a cochin/silkie will mature faster than a silkie. Anyone know if that is true?

Yes he is and he love to play-fight. I know the girls do too but he just looks like a boy. If it's not too muddy, I'll try to get a better picture of him

Yes it does! I've started taking the littles to the outside brooder during the day while it's still warm Hubby has almost finished the fence around their yard to keep out loose dogs. It's bad when the chickens have a 6' fence and my 100lb pitt and 80lb bulldog only have a 4' fence.

These are my babies. 4 are 3 weeks old and the rest are 2 weeks old. The 3 smallest are supposed to be chocolate and the rest are paints. Someone has runny poop. I’ve added electrolytes and probiotics to their water. Anything else I should do? @Hinotori Someone wrote that they carry disease...

Those babies are so cute! I thought about getting some showgirls but I read on this thread that they could have issues. is that true? Do they have more problems than silkies(or any other chicken)?
