Me too! Each and every single one of my birds have names! I’m not even sure how I remember them, but I do! I even name some chicks that I end up selling!

Well they’re not showable, thus poor quality. Of course there’s nothing wrong with that if you’re keeping them as pets!

Gotcha! Yah, we once had one of those horrible quality hatchery silkies who was such a brute and pretty big, giant for a silkie. But he was a great flock leader! The hens all loved him and he was very protective of them.

I personally don’t mind aggressive silkie boys, of course I don’t breed them because that not a quality that I want passed on. But I always keep them, they’re so small and fluffy that it feels like a pillow hitting your legs :lau Besides I could never kill one, or any animals period.

I know, silkies are so hard to sex. In the beginning I had almost no idea until they crowed. But now, years in I think I’ve finally mastered it! :lau At least with my own stock, I can tell by a few months.
