Each and every single one of my birds have names! I’m not even sure how I remember them, but I do!
I even name some chicks that I end up selling!
Gotcha! Yah, we once had one of those horrible quality hatchery silkies who was such a brute and pretty big, giant for a silkie.
But he was a great flock leader! The hens all loved him and he was very protective of them.
I personally don’t mind aggressive silkie boys, of course I don’t breed them because that not a quality that I want passed on.
But I always keep them, they’re so small and fluffy that it feels like a pillow hitting your legs :lau
Besides I could never kill one, or any animals period.
I know, silkies are so hard to sex.
In the beginning I had almost no idea until they crowed. But now, years in I think I’ve finally mastered it! :lau
At least with my own stock, I can tell by a few months.
