Sorta lost track of the days, we are all in quarantine, we all tested negative though. Anyway here's my silkies as of today at about 8 1/2 weeks old. I'm pretty sure on the whites pictured that one is a male and other is female.

I missed posting pics at 6 weeks, but my silkies are now 7 weeks old. Featuring guest appearance by Creme the EE. 🤣

My little silkie babies are 5 weeks old. Just going off behavior, I think 2 of my white ones are cockerels.

That is the plan yes. This is my first breeding project, so I'm honestly not expecting much from it, but it will be fun none the less.

Ok I may have a favorite chick. Lol. This one just loves taking pictures with me. Haha. This is the same chick that posed for pictures about a week and a half ago. Haha

Anyone else have silkies with unique toes? My partridge's 4th and 5th toes on their right foot are joined and my black one has yellow tips on their middle toes. These guys are just hatchery quality so I'm not surprised. Haha

Ok cool! I actually 4 other little silkie babies. Those 2 faces were just the most obviously different to me.

Thank you that's very helpful. So I was on the right track, and I have some chicks that are definitely bearded, and some that could be, but maybe not. Lol.

Alright silkie experts am I correct in that the chick in the first pic is bearded and in the 2nd is non bearded? I have never had silkies as babies before, so I'm trying to learn. Haha
