Today I found a way to meet the "new" requirements with a minimum of disruption and may even grab some leave after all - maybe half of what I'd planned.
But, yes, people who are only half informed but aspirational are wasteful.
To provide some contrast I'm also working with the Aboriginal team who are also poorly resourced but because they worked with me all along, we resolved their aspect of the project to everyone's satisfaction long ago.
Well, I said I'd cancel my leave because there's no other way of being ready for March. There's no one to hand off to.
It's galling. I tried so hard to get info from that team. I gave them context, short written requests for info, detailed written requests for info, I've been talked over by...
It's metaphorical. I'm trying to work with a team from an entirely different part of the University and they don't know what they're doing. First they ignored my emails for months, so I assumed no changes were necessary and proceeded to implement on that basis as time was running out. After time...
I am particularly infuriated by moving goal posts today. Actually, it's not so much the goal posts as a complete change of sport. YOU CAN'T PLAY GOLF ON A CRICKET PITCH, says I. But we can if you build us a golf course on it, says them.
Build your own damn golf course. Oh right, you don't even...
That sounds like it's in the US. That's a very long way from home. It wouldn't be practical for me to buy anything in the US if I can buy it locally and save on unnecessary shipping costs and time.
I moved on from considering hemp. No doubt you noticed my focus switched to woodshavings in a later post. To save you wasting your time on a Google search for woodshavings, I've already decided where to get them (the usual place - I've bought woodshavings before now).
There's something about social media platforms that leads us to forget we are talking to people who know more about their own context than we do, something I've been very guilty of in my early posts on @BY Bob 's Fluffy Butt Acres thread.
I think so. Only half of their replies to 1 star reviews...
It's a non-profit. I have already considered reaching out to the board and I may do so. I'll be very observant of the welcome I'm given when I go to pick up her ashes.
The previous two occasions I used this cremation service the service was excellent, then OK. Now it's bad. Something isn't right. Common sense is not prevailing.
I have a hunch Sunday will be delightful. I have no plans whatsoever so I'll do as I please all day.
I don't think @Ribh is spending much time on byc these days and I feel awkward posting to her thread when she's absent, so here's Blossom for Caturday, toasting her ears and paws in front of the...
It was so discordant.
The crematorium is part of a larger animal welfare shelter and they just haven't spent enough time building the bereavement aspect of their services.
