Well my friend had 50 gallons made last weeknd and a boil to go He does not seem impressed with this season. Actually he sounds really bummed this year. I asked how many gallons sap per gallon best hes had is 38 ,worst is 78. So I had it wrong before.

A friend of mine down the road taps just few trees and makes himself half gallon so it can be done on a small scale. If I remember right a different person told me 30 gallons sap to a gallon syrup, but then I suppose that could all change as posted above.
