It was very cooperative just chilling out on the boardwalk railing. I could get really close. If you can zoom in far enough in the top right side of the eye, you can see a bit of clouds with the sun reflecting off them.
Here are some pictures of an American Redstart chick that fledged on our porch. Both mom and dad came to feed it and eventually led it off to the bushes. It was the size of a small hummingbird. Gotta love the eyebrow thing going on! 😆

Here is another that I took this spring in Florida. I am happy with this one. The heron was not moving much so I was able to take time to adjust the focus and lighting.
@mdees88 Love your pelican shot. Here is one I took this spring. It is not nearly as crisp as yours (and I used Photoshop the sharpen it). I was also on the wrong side of the sun but there was not much I could do about that. It was the right side for sunset pics. :)
