What is this?

I didn't know those 2 names are the same species! Only venomous snake here is Pacific Rattlesnake. This poor guy got caught up in plastic fencing around the garden. Didn't find him until it was too late. Pretty creatures.

Only the males have the red coloring. There may have been several plain females there that didn't get your attention. 🐦

They are hunters. If they can catch it they will eat it!
