Yes, the rails are interchangeable. The price that attaches to the rail popped off the motor. I got it all put back together and looks like all is working again. I didn't get the lid back on my hovabator right away...so now the govee is taking its turn going haywire and now reading 95 something...

I have found that the govee is pretty consistent with the meat thermometers that I have in each incubator. There are occasional periods that it spazes out and jumps up or down a couple degrees for a couple days (I usually take it out and blow out the sensor hole or take the battery off and that...

I bought a probe thermometer that records high and low temps....but then to find out when reading the instructions, that the thermometer shuts itself off after 10 minutes if the temp is below 122 degrees. My Govee also tracks temp so I can see highs and lows there too. Here is a screenshot of...

I actually have a smaller Govee thermometer/hydrometer in all 3 of my hovabators for that same reason! It would be the white square thing sitting in the egg cup behind the large dial thermometer with the number 2 written on it. I love being able to track the temp. I have found that they will go...

Both vent holes completely open with a fan circulating the air - set up just like my other hovabator incubator and my hovabator hatcher. I bought more thermometers in town today and think the meat thermometer I have in there is faulty which resulted in the temp being way too high. (Off to do...

    🍃August Hatch-a-Long🍃

Bought 2 thermometers in town today because I just want to get this incubator problem figured out. Bought the digital one on the right that has a probe suspended through the hole so the tip is about midway down the egg. I also bought the meat thermometer with the larger dial that is inside the...

I will have to look into that thermometer. Thanks!

My trouble incubator is really stumping me. I have been putting extra thermometers in to check temp while I am incubating my barnyard eggs. Prior to testing with my barnyard eggs, I recalibrated my meat thermometer and found it to be reading high (only 2 degrees - so around 101), so adjusted it...

Woke up to 6 chicks this morning and 1 more pipped! Candled the 8 that had not pipped yet just to see how they are doing and I am pretty sure 6 are DIS. :( They were all moving on day 16 (what I thought was day 18, but my spreadsheet had gotten messed up). Thinking those 2 days of high...

2 more pips tonight - total of 7 out of 18. Still trying to figure out my 2nd hovabator. Down to 3 out of 8 test eggs - have had 2 clears, an early (pre day 7) quitter, and 2 that quit between 7-14 days. The remaining 3 are still going, but seem awful small to me.....which would make me think...

I realized last night that something was up with my spreadsheet that I use to keep track of candling and hatching dates....seemed like an awful big gap between day 18 and hatch day for the batch of eggs that I just put into the hatcher. Yep....I set them on day 16 instead of day 18. They got...

Just keep an eye on the one that pipped the bottom. It may take a bit longer to start to zip where it was both the internal and external pip. I usually allow 48 hours before thinking about assisting. All of my wrong end pippers have hatched successfully on their own. :)

18 eggs (isbar/silverudd and CCL) went into the hatcher today. I am pretty sure I saw all but 1 move while tracing the air cells. Hoping for a good hatch (and lots of pullets) as I have a friend interested in any pullets I do not keep.

Sounds a lot like my hatches for June and July. :( I hope your September hatch goes well. I will also be hatching Marans in September.

I can't remember, did you get your Bresse Eggs from Countryegghatchery on ebay?

My daughter wanted Ayam Cemani, but price was so high for those hatching eggs at the time so we went with a close relative to the Cemanis....the Svart Hona. I wasn't too sure about how much I liked them (the all black)...but they are some of my favorites now! They look so sleek and fancy. Not...

7 BCM's hatched today! I have 2 more pipped and 1 that I am still waiting on. This BCM experience has been wonderful! I bought more from the same seller 2 days ago. Hoping for another good round with the next batch!
