Almost all of them are spoken for for pick up in the second week of September. in teh past year, i've hatched a couple of hundred chicks and have only been able to keep 5 due to demand.
While I didn't hatch them due to packing up for the move, I did put in the brooder 39 out of 40 chicks hatched out on the 12th. And they were thirsty, they drank for half an hour, pushing each other out of the way to get to the waterers.

Well...I will not be able to unpack the incubators until the end of September as we have to be out of this house on September 8th, so...I ordered 50+ chicks to arrive August 14th. That should let me fill requests for pullets in the beginning of September that are starting to come in.

It is too quiet in here. My office normally has the background noise of running incubators going for a full year now. It's spooky. the Last incubator was cleaned and peroxide treated and is drying so it can be packed up for the move.
It's not even July and you are reminding me I can't hatch anything in August due to my move.
Shame on you.
The only bright spot is, with the 2 hatches upcoming in July, I will have hatched for a full 12 months in a row.
