We all make mistakes. I hope she feels better about things soon and comes back. She is really nice and a lot of the thread discussion was really fun.

:hugs You and riss seem like great friends. Sorry this happened. Just so you know, I think posting just to get better numbers is considered spamming. And spamming is against forum rules. But I know you guys were just having fun :(

I hate to say it, but the threads getting moved is probably because of all the “count to five” and hangman games.

With cats do the little plastic bits ever catch on their fur or tug when they hit a loose tuft? Or am I doing this wrong?

I have this one. She hates it.

Thanks! I usually sit on the floor next to her. She doesn't like being held AT ALL. I will definitely try small amounts of brushing mixed with lots ofpetting next time. Anyone got any brush recs? I have one of those horribly expensive rabbit combs but it sometimes tugs a bit and then she gets...

Yeah, it is just tricky cause if I hold the food she thinks I am going to steal it. And if I don't hold the food she may run off with it to where I cannot reach her (she likes to eat her favorite treats "in secret")

Thanks! Maybe if I try using pellets or greens as the bribe (and sit behind her)... I was using a chunk of carrot or beet but she will run away with that if I am not holding it.

@EverythingDucks any tips on how to get Niven to let me comb her fur? Bribes worked for awhile but last time she seemed to think I was attacking her with a comb so that I could steal her beet slice. She growled and bit me 😑

Reptiles (like Tad and Hoshi) are also prone to impaction (blockage) so I am a little paranoid about my pets’ poops 🤣

The most common cause of death in rabbits is GI stasis (slow or immobile digestion). Fiber keeps things moving quickly through their system and decreases the risk of digestive issues like slowing or blockages. As long as they eat lots of hay they should be fine no matter what. But I like...

That is why I said too low for my personal preference not that it is bad food. I just like a high fiber pellet for my bun.

Producer’s Pride and Sweet Meadow are both too low in fiber for my personal preference. Mazuri is touch lower in fiber than what I feed but not much. And I do like that it is Timothy based.

Just looked it up and personally I think Oxbow looks better. Purina lists Alfalfa as the primary ingredient. My Oxbow is mainly timothy based with some alfalfa. Oxbow also offers feed specifically for young rabbits and Purina does not.
