Our kind of riding! 🥰 Looks like a blast. But those big bikes SUCK when you lose traction. I had to ride a 790 out of 2’ of sand with slicks on. Took everything I had to keep it somewhat on two wheels.
The start of the White Rim Trail. See those nice, smooth street tires on the bike to the left…
Just did a quick google map… 22 hours for you. You've got this lol Our drive to Moab is about 17 hours. On the way we stay in Salt Lake City, then finish the trek the next morning. Then he likes to drive straight through on the way home 😑
So sad 😞 being a rider it’s definitely unnerving not knowing what the other people are doing while driving. One wrong move by either party and it could be the end.
This trip is both big bikes, RZR and dirt bikes. I’ll bring the GoPro and use it a couple times so I can get you hooked on Moab and want to go next year lol there’s so much to do out there. A week is never enough time!
You’ll be vacationing while we’re vacationing 😁 We have two boys watching...
Going to be here in two ish weeks! Look at all the layers 🤗 If you look very closely, that little black spec on the hill is some kind of wild animal trying to find petrified wood pieces lol
There are videos of the old blue Suburban piloting all the riders to the start line from over 40 years ago. Tradition I guess. Here’s a video of the parading of bikes to the start line about a mile down the road. I was only 20 or so bikes in behind the Suburban, wasn’t waiting for that huge...
That was nice of them! Bikes are just too much fun. More events please.
Driving a truck on backroads can be a challenge. Must be precise on some areas for wheel placement, etc. and so slow compared to being on a bike!
Pictures coming! I didnt take any, but there are photographers throughout the race. It just takes them a couple days to post them.
Wait, I lied. I took two photos showing our friends where we were camped lol
It’s 5:53 and the 3 hour drive has begun. When it rains in western Washington, you run fast to eastern Washington. The sun is almost always out over there.
I’ll grab some photos 😁
We too like the two wheels 🤗 So much that we got married on bikes 😬
If you ever get to Utah, the White Rim Trail outside of Moab is a blast. 100 mile road through the back side of Canyon Lands.
