You can get a small collapsable dog playpen for about 50 bucks if you want something that isn't permanent. Fold is up and stick it in a closet when not in use, set it up in about 20 sec for rabbit playtime.
All of ours are in the house but they are mostly caged. Free time in a designated area and monitored. They need to be contained a bit to keep them out of trouble.

My Godfather had some fossilized giant sloth poo that he used as a door stop/conversation piece. He used to tell us it was pterodactyl poop and it was shaped almost identically to this.
Do NOT do this unless you have an under wire litter tray. 100% they will eat the pads, and most of them are lined with plastic. GI stasis in an instant and bad things happen.
Because they're dumb and like to chew.
