She is just a splash marans. She is very very sweet and lays an orange egg with red tinted speckles! I just had to look up Pita Pinta... had never heard of them before... and they are so cool!!!
Peafowl eggs have arrived unbroken! I will assess their shells for any cracks and air cells for any scrambling later. They were packaged well though, with lots of labels on the outside, too!
The eggs are:
5 Indian blue x black shoulder
2 Indian blue
3 White

Holy moly that is one heck of a setup!!! What I would give to see that in action! Perhaps someday I'll be on that level, hahaha.
What temp do YOU set your pea eggs?
I know peafowl eggs are more delicate than chicken or duck eggs... so I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best! My incubator is the NR360 so the eggs will be on their sides... do you usually incubate them more upright? I've also seen that many people hatch them at the end...

They should arrive on Friday (tomorrow). I got really lucky with my shipped duck eggs previously and had a great hatch. I was just wondering if... in general... there is anything you do differently with peafowl in the incubator?
