My splash Polish Sylvia just squatted for me tonight too 😯 She’s an August hatch too. My D’Uccles from May don’t look close at all yet and my Buttercup from April hasn’t laid either. She’s looked ready for monthssssss. This chicken thing is so crazy, I never know what to expect anymore lol

I’m having a hard time not hatching every egg they lay so I can sell the roos 😅 Boys need to calm down! Hopefully they mellow out some with chasing me and the kids, so far we’ve not lost anybody to hawks 🤞🏼

I got so incredibly lucky!!! So far I’m 95% sure the WTB/BCM is a pullet 🎉 The other two chicks are very obviously cockerels with screaming red combs/wattles 😅

Trying to decide if I should pop the babies into the brooder tonight or wait for tomorrow… They’re in a playpen with heating pad outside, low of 63° ish. Three week old chicks are already tucked in bed for the night

Widdle babies are fluffing up so nicely! The WTB (black chick) is crossed with BCM, little fluffy legs. I’m praying so hard it’s a pullet!!! Now that it’s not so damp, the mystery chick is looking like a Wyandotte cross 🎉

The crack isn’t from hatching, it has been there for several weeks and looks like there wasn’t an issue from it thank goodness
