No, I didn't reach out to the breeder. Mostly b/c its a big island, but very small community; I don't want to make any ripples. I did elect not to order from them again and instead import from Greenfire Farms to build the rest my core flock though.

I bought 12 chicks from a local breeder, 11 are supposed to be Silver Double Laced Barnevelders and 1 a Black Copper Marans (free gift). The breeder focuses on best lacing for the Barnies. These 11 came from two separate broods, 5 days apart.
