I'm sorry to hear that 😔 that's such a bummer, but at least four hatched! I had a similar experience.... Ordered 24 shipped fertile hatching eggs. About 13 made it to lock down. Then on day 19, the incubator overheated and I was up until 3am trying to regulate the temperature. Anyway, 4 hatched...
Well it finally hatched after 48 hours. I did have to peel back a little more shell when I saw her struggling to push. She was in a weird position and I'm pretty sure she has splayed legs. (Not sure why I'm calling it a she lol) she seems to be doing ok but we put a little makeshift hobble on...
Thank you so much! Yes it's still making eating like movements with it's break.... Just seems weird after almost 40 hours now after the pip. I'll give it until tonight and try again to peel back some shell. Thanks again!
Help!!! I have a chick that pipped 38 hours ago. After 26 hours, I tried to open the hole a little more and it started to bleed. This morning at hour 38 I tried to zip a little more and it started bleeding so I stopped. It's still in there moving and peeping. What do I do?
Ok everyone, sorry for so many questions! This chocolate egg pipped last night around 8pm. Since 5am this morning, no progress but I can see it moving. It's not almost 5pm with no progress. At what point do I assist? If it goes more than 24 hours? Or should I give it more time and if it still...
First chick finally hatched!!!! Yaaaayyyyy! However, it keeps pushing the other eggs all over the place. One of the eggs that had a pretty large pip got knocked completely upside down and now has its beak hanging out of the shell upside down. Do I quickly flip the egg back up? Or should I not...
I have an egg that hasn't pipped yet but it's moving around and peeping like crazy. How do I know when I need to make a safety hole and help it? Today is day 21. Thanks!
Thank you! Nothing has happened with that one yet, but there's still time. I have two that are starting to zip and one pip so far 😁 this is super exciting!
Well there are two eggs moving so not a loss yet! Also, I quickly candled three eggs and saw one internal pip moving, one chirping when I candled and one with no movement. I'm hoping I'll get at least a couple from my first hatch! My kids and I are impatiently waiting 😂
I'm not sure what's wrong. I put my eggs into lockdown on Thursday night and the temperature and humidity have been totally fine until last night (Friday). About 1130pm, my hygrometer was reading 104.5 but my incubator was reading 99.5.... They have been both synced up and reading around the...
