oh so exciting!!!!!!!!!! When should they be arriving??? Good luck! I have some shipped eggs in the incubator right now and have more arriving on the 17th. LOL
you would see actual blood leaking out if one was pipped into. but yes they can if you assist and break one or if they pip into it before they are ready. I am guessing they must recede back enough when they hatch so that it is safe? not sure as that confused me when I noticed it. LOL
think it is pretty normal. I was shocked at the blood vessels still left. I think as the shell sits in the incubator they aren't as red so where you took it out kind of quick maybe that is why they seem more red???
not sure what others do for humidity. that is an NR360 right? I keep mine around 65% for hatch. think that is what a lot do with that incubator. sure 70 is fine too. GL!!!!!!!!
oh look at those internal pips!!!!!!! with in the next 24 hrs or so there will be babies! what is your humidity at? I see some condensation on the side.
I stopped getting notifications for this thread. :( Just caught up on way too many pages to comment on all but OMG so many cute babies!!!!!!!!!!!
Makes me even more excited for my next hatch! My eggs should be here in the morning. then I will let them sit and set them on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!
so many babies hatching!!!!!!!!! Making me so happy and also sad since I don't have any babies. LOL Feels like FOREVER since I hatched "mine" but it hasn't been long at all. but I have no chicks to play with and see! Can't wait for MY eggs to come and hatch those so then I have chicks...
LOL sounds like me with my Jan hatch. Dec. hatch was fine with it in my room. then came Jan and one woke me up from a sound sleep when it hatched as it was peeping so loud!!!!!!
Debating on doing it in my room (that is a bit colder than the rest of the house and I think is why my...
Lmao I was going to say I couldn't buy that. 🤣😂🤣. I am sooo bad with candling. Then I go to a friend of mine to talk me down from candling and she just encourages me to candle. Lol
I wouldn't do a safety hole unless you are 100% sure it has been about 24 hrs that it has been internally pipped. You should hear chirps if internally pipped.
I think it depends on the incubator. I have a NR360 I keep humidity around 65% and I don't drop the temp but it seems when humidity goes up temp drops.
if you don't leave it wide open for long then they will be fine while you get the ones that have hatched and fluffed out. I do it all the time and also checked on any eggs I am not sure of. a mama hen doesn't just sit 100% of the time for a "lockdown" they get up even after an egg has...
