    No. I use a clump of sod with soil to introduce a small amount of what they will be exposed to. Others do use medicated for the first few weeks. Nothing inherently wrong with either method.

    The protein boost from BSF is nice. The fat content is of concern though. Keep all treats to less than 10% daily intake.
