I have a few older pics of her. I think this is the one you are talking about. She is Goose. This last pic is the father, she gets her looks from him, her mom is one of the almost solid black ones.

The little doe we had was the most precious. She was a bottle baby because her mom was just so eeked out with it being her first pregnancy and we didn't want to risk anything. I wish I would have kept her, she was gorgeous. My buck makes very pretty babies and idk if it has something to do...

Yes! They are a cross between long haired myotonics and Nigerian dwarf goats. The first goat born here on my farm was a silky goat.

The last goat I got was a myotonic. When researching them I found out they don't climb like other goats! So I have one goat who doesn't jump on the car or in with the pigs. I think I'm going to get more myotonic goats, I love there goofy personality. Mine never faints for me because she trusts...

Yeah they will probably see me going out that way and follow. 😵‍💫 At first I put mine up at night and when they made me mad lol I have left them free for probably 6 months now and they definitely push my buttons but they stay relatively close. I'm lucky my neighbor across the street doesn't...

I feel that when it comes to goats. My goats are everywhere and I'm contemplating fencing in my yard just so I can have one area with a few nice plants/flowers etc... And keep them from sleeping under my house 😅 I have about 15 acres and for some reason they don't venture to my east side so...

I had a potbelly boar who was really really friendly and would come by name. I liked him too much to eat him and had to sell him. I'm hoping I like this next boar. it comes from a really friendly farmer who gives his animals tons of attention and they all seem to be pretty tame.

I think I like her more than any of the pigs i had before. She actually listens pretty ok and let's me pet her. I'm buying a boar from a guy about a mile down the road as soon as I fix a few things the butcher hog broke lol

Have you looked at guinea hogs? They are the type of pigs the settlers brought with them when they settled the Appalachias and Ozarks etc. They are between 200 and 300 pounds typically, not all belly like a potbelly. And great at foraging.

I keep a few pigs. Right now I have an American guinea hog that im going to breed. Just got rid of a butcher pig today. I love my guinea hog and absolutely hated that butcher pig. I had potbelly’s in the past, they got huge. They got into everything and ended up killing some kittens and chicks...

I definitely agree. I've been looking for just about everything free I can find to repurpose for years, half of my house was built with reclaimed material. I'm saving up building material for a greenhouse right now, animals destroyed our plants too many times this year

Our pig pen is made from an old bunkbed and reclaimed barn wood lol it's not pretty but it works. I had 9 goats in it last winter lol they decided they were free range and gave it up do I gave it to the pigs.

I'm definitely going to have to build more animal housing. My chickens have no house and my goats are sleeping in random doghouses strewn about lol I have the space for a nice little goat house just not the resources

@Hedgeland Farms The mix I have right now is for meat. The potbelly’s and Juliana were sold to pet homes. The American guinea hog is going to be my momma pig, guinea hogs are really popular with homesteaders so I'm planning on raising piglets for barter purposes. They aren't huge pigs and...

@Hedgeland Farms what kinds of pigs are you raising? I had potbelly’s and Julianne this past year, I made really good money growing the potbelly’s out. I've got an American guinea hog and a hereford mix right now, once the mix is grown out I'm going to get another guinea hog, they are so...
