Our number 18 hatched yesterday morning and that is a wrap on this bunch. 18 into lockdown and 18 out. Next comes our ducks at the beginning of May and another chicken hatch also in May. I will post more pictures then because I am keeping this next batch of babies. The ones that hatched this...

So far: 22 eggs started 2 clears 2 early quitters 18 eggs to lock down 15 of those hatched as of yesterday No sign of any progress on the remaining three but giving them the rest of the day before I candle and check.

At four hatched now out of 18. They are all chirpping little fluffballs of chaos. Might have to fish them out earlier than I expected.

It does look like an internal pip to me.

And baby 1 is out and recovering. Ready to wreak havoc on those that are still waiting when he's rested.
