Do you guys perform eggtopsies with your eggs that don’t hatch? Just wondering how you find out how they are malpositioned.

Wont they all have a spot if the rooster is barred? Spot only means male if the hen is barred & roo is not.

I have a new set of 38 eggs in the incubators, started on Sunday afternoon! Their hatch date will be the last day of April, the 30th, and most of my hatches have started on the 20th, so hopefully they will be out before April! My broody is also sitting on 5 eggs.

What day would you say these are on? Gave them to a broody when I set my eggs inside. Brought them back in as the original broody was not doing a great job…she was off longer than I was comfortable with and eggs kept getting cold…is this one trying to internally pip?

Came home to my outside of air cell pipped egg hatched! 😊 Tomorrow I rejoin the hatch along, for an April 30 hatch date! Woohoo!

I have to think of it like birthdays. When a baby is born, it is zero, until it has been alive one month. Then after a month you count 1. I do it every single time I set eggs! 😂

Day 17 for me. I candled, weighed, & removed turners. Have an appointment tomorrow after work, so I didn’t want to have to do all that for lockdown. I can just bump humidity after dinner. A few eggs looked much further along than I suspected, so hatch will be interesting!
