I don't think "FeedLock" is Purina's product. Appears to come from Agrimprove. This article is from 2020. "As there is an important need for improved global biosecurity via the feed, Agrimprove have recently developed FeedLock. The product is a patented mixture of medium chain fatty acids...

I was not trying to point a finger at the UK. I think all countries should be looking harder. I was saying this sheep was only found because of *routine testing around an outbreak*. No outbreaks, no testing. The cattle is the US? The cattle problems started with a group of dairy cows that had...

I agree manure should not be in animal feed. I do think there has been some change. Maybe not enough. I came across this recently. I've not been able to find much information about what the ingredient is. Purina claims the additive helps defend your flock against Avian Influenza and other...

Same for me. I remember more from written word than listening to a podcast. I have a friend that listens to books. I'd rather read the book.

I do not know about California farms but in NC there are still lots of migrant workers. On Sundays there are bus loads at a nearby Walmart and other grocery stores too. Most do farm work and some have moved into factory/warehouse jobs as well. Some have aquired citizenship and are buying homes...

I watched and could understand. Not use to using subtitles so watching while reading was interesting at times. Your description helped me a lot. It is a shame honesty and integrity are not more important in this world. Too many things are controlled by money.

Yes! If micro plastics are bad for the animals in the ocean why would they not be bad for the animals that are used for food. What I can't find out is what company is buying and using this stuff? That I'd really like to know.

Sorry, wanted to add this link. https://www.feedipedia.org/node/70 When I researched a bit I read this Bakery wastes may contain ground plastic bags as the bakery wastes are unwrapped mechanically (McGregor, 2000). I don't think this is good.

Bakery waste is already being recycled for animal feeds. My husband works for a cold storage facility. They handle all ingredients and finished product for a major bakery. All the bakery waste is sold to a company that recycles it into animal feeds.
