No, not yet. Hubby did say my breath stunk when I ate some of them raw, so I've been cooking them instead.
I'll probably freeze them in a few days. The bags will migrate to the bottom of the freezer. I'll find them in the middle of winter and get a taste of summer. :)
Do you have garlic planted this year? I just finished cutting all the scapes on mine. I will digging a test bulb sometime in the next few days.
It's a little early, but I *need* some fresh garlic!
I've looked at Marty Raney's hands and then put lotion on mine. Ouch. Being such a delicate flower as I am, I wear gloves for garden chores and housework.
We used to watch that show all the time. I don't know if it's not on channels we get now, or what. We laugh about Misty Raney's name. Then...
It blows my mind when I see the whitetail deer here eating raspberry and blackberry canes, spruce tips, and wild rose canes.
I'm curious as to how they do it without ending up with a mouthful of blood.
I can imagine!
Is the pole barn for shade or more protection from the elements?
How's the house coming?
BYC needs a roving band of helpers. Hands on help to clean up, clear, build, plant, harvest, etc. Then sit around a campfire and sing songs. :gig
Even though it's the first time I've had the trap out and I handled it and the bait with gloved hands, nothing went in. The trap sat in the garden shed, untouched, since last November.
I did manage to catch a small raccoon with canned salmon. Not on the first night, but on the second. I think...
I forgot to get marshmallows last time I was at the store. So I tried peanut butter and honey on a bit of hotdog bun. No takers. I dumped the bait out and left it. It disappeared.

La la la la la I can't hear you! :gig
I don't need sweet stuff lurking in my freezer...
Oh! I just had a thought. Would a tablespoon of honey in the bottom of a can tempt a raccoon...? I think I'll have to find out.
I've read and been told that raccoon love, freaking LOVE, marshmallows. I think I've caught one with them; I didn't have any on hand when I caught the rest of them. I might get a bag, next time I'm at the store. They aren't a good bait out in the rain, however. :lau
I wish my trap were just a...
For trapping a raccoon, I have used the following for bait:
Marshmallows
Dog food
Canned fish of some kind
Melon
I've had some success with all of them. I've had plenty of failures, too. The melon caught me a wood chuck twice, and a possum once.
I have caught as few as zero and as many as four...

To quote a friend of mine, "So far, this is the oldest I've ever been!"
Hubby and I moved 1+ trailer loads of wood today uphill (cut down in a valley, inaccessible with the Jeep) and yeah, we're feeling our age.
