I am so sorry about your hen, are you saying your drake bet his wingtips bloody and featherless? Was this because of the mink? It wouldn't hurt to try a course of antibiotic on him. I'd use Baytril.

Yes keep it up, it can take a while depending on how bad the deficiency is. Or even if it is one but keeping him on it for a week should give us an idea. Glad to hear his eyes have cleared up.
