Update! Kiwi continues to improve. Yesterday she let us know that she didn’t want to be locked up in the sick ward anymore so we gave her full access to the yard. We kept a close eye on her and made sure her sisters weren’t bullying her and there were no problems.
She’s waking pretty normally...

She is standing, walking, and drinking! Hooray!!
She’s a little weak and wobbly, but sooooo much better.
No sign of an egg or any substance from her reproductive system yet, but we’ll keep a close eye out.
Today I did her calcium pill on my own with no issues. She’s a good girl :)...

giving a chicken a pill is remarkably easy. Dose #1 of calcium is done.

ooh, I have another question - what’s the preferred method to get her to ingest the tablet? Crush and mix with food or a high value treat? Dissolve and give it to her with the tube watering? I’m quite adept ay giving cats pills, chickens… well I’ve never tried 🫣

She had been laying consistently, but it could have tapered off for a few without me noticing. Only Kiwi and Bomo are laying; our old girl, Very Sullen (yes, that’s her name), has retired from laying. We get 1-2 eggs a day and I don’t collect them daily, so it’s hard to say if it tapered off...
