She kinda uses her leg as a crutch and only rests on it to hobble around. She doesn’t seem to be in pain when I touch her leg, but she won’t grip me with her toes.
This month seems to be a hard one for our flock. While Flathead (the chicken I have been talking about) has been getting much better, our lavender Orpington Maggie looks to have hurt her leg. She won’t put any weight on it, but it doesn’t look swollen. I noticed this yesterday but I shrugged it...
So we were able to remove the material blocking the vent, but it looks pretty backed up. She is taking the calcium very well I’m hoping that it will help push out the remaining material.
So I was able to get one with vitamin d but the pills are very large and the dosage is 2 pills. The two pills combined is 300mg. Is this okay? Or should I give her 4 pills for 600 mg?
Okay. So we have her a bath and noticed that the yellow object looks hard. It is almost like it is clogging her vent. I want to remove it but don’t know if that is the best solution. What should I do?
She is pooping but it is small and looks hard to pass. It is like mini versions of regular poops. She has always been weaker then the other chickens but even more now.
She is taking the coconut oil very well and has been for 2 days, but I noticed a small yellow rock shaped thing inside her vent. She still is struggling to poop but it is getting a little better. Any ideas what this could be?
