Well, heck. I forgot to check my average number of steps at the end of the day yesterday. Last I looked, my average was 9925ish.
Now that we're into a new month, the average is over 10K, as January 2024 was the lowest of the year. February's average was better by nearly 1000.
I won't average 10K steps/day this year, but I'm sort of close. 9915.
The last 6 months is over 11K. I think I didn't carry my phone with me as much last January/February. That's the only thing I have to count steps.
Still haven't missed a day on the elliptical since December 8, 2023.
I've started tracking how many steps each day. I have a suspicion that my 6 month average from May to November will be higher than the November to May average. Unless I make it a priority. So I will.
When I started, I thought 30 seconds was a long time. I kept doing them, and they got longer. I try to do two a day, and aim for 3:00+.
Here's a tip: Do a plank when you're pissed off at something. (Like the news on the TV!) Channel that pissed offedness into physical energy.
237 days since December 8, 2023. I have not missed a day on the elliptical. I've added planks to my routine.

My cholesterol (TC) is down 22 points, and my LDL is down 21 points.

How would you know if they don't tell you? Until you've had bloodwork done, it's all unfamiliar territory. Just like any other new thing. Geesh.

Are you serious??? I get told/asked 5 ways from Sunday that I have to fast for the blood work. When they make the appointment (a year in advance, haha), when I arrive, when I have my physical, when I go into the lab for the blood draw.

I'm glad I like oatmeal. I read that it can take 3-6 months for your body to "clear out" cholesterol from your blood, so that your test numbers are better. I have about 5 months until my next physical/blood test.

Hubby and I are still working out on the elliptical, every day. He missed 2 days when he was gone, and took one day off after pulling (very wet, heavy) snow off the roof. I couldn't blame him for that at all.
