They work if something is touching it on either side. Such as a letter or another emoji.

I don't think it is. It did it to me on my phone this morning and again just now on my laptop. I wasn't using the phone emojis, only the ones you find when you scroll down in the BYC emojis.

It's when you post it it doesn't work.
