Just over 5 weeks 🫣 thoughts? The obvious cockerel makes it super hard to get close to the others bc he charges at me and is just all around nosey and pecks my phone lol but these pics are as good as I could get.

Yep, no denying that one is a cockerel. I’m wanting to keep him for as long as I can, naively thinking he won’t crow for awhile 😆 our neighbors would have a fit.

Unfortunately, no. I am not able to have roos where I live but I have a home already arranged for any roos I end up with.

I think both splashes COULD be pullets and the blue I have no clue. The blue does have a higher comb but it hasn’t changed or grown for the past two weeks, and has no color like my for-sure cockerel. So I’ll be waiting another week or two and see what happens with them. 🤷🏻‍♀️

They keep me guessing for sure hahaha but definitely chick 1 has left me zero doubt about him being a cockerel. 😊 but these three are giving me some hope bc they don’t have the wattles or comb growth as their hatch mate.

I also got chick 4’s last photo mixed up. That’s not her. She doesn’t have a spot at the end of her beak.

thoughts? Is it worth comparing them to chick 1 who is their hatch mate that came from the same breeder? Bc none of them are anywhere close to looking like the little chick 1 forest egger cockerel.
