I would have to do my own research to find out where he read what lol I'll ask him and find out, maybe the articles mentioned the growth rate of the coccidiosis themselves and not the birds?
Babies have been moved outside after seven days of treatment, will let their corid water run out but they are definitely acting like chickens! And they enjoyed being outside!
*Would have taken them yesterday but we were assembling the new run
Hubby was reading the corid can slow their(the...
Day four of corid water. Definitely acting like chickens again! I know it's live and learn. But I feel horrible about the two we lost. Had I posted when I first noticed our Owl acting hunched, we might have been able to save them all, but because of the weather we just thought they were cold...
Babies started acting like chickens yesterday evening - scratching, noisey, moving! Yay! Even this morning they are more active and doing what chickens do lol
Have been giving undiluted since we got it. Have gotten the one to eat(wet with corid water mash) and drink since I posted. I've been checking on them and talking to them every time I'm in the kitchen. She's even moving better.
She's the yellow/white one, Dreamsicle.
Day two and a half(since we got the corid halfway through Sunday)

Well, damnit, lost another. She just crashed and there was nothing we could have done. She was my youngest's favorite too. She was feisty and fun and colorful too. The first one to have hatched from our brood.
We've been using left over paper towel from when I worked at a hospital as custodian and always had extras lol
Kids have been helping play "first day of school" and dunking beaks in water. We've got a couple that, while moving more than yesterday, still don't want to drink on their own.
It...
Everyone is alive this morning. Moving(maybe not up to par but better than before), chirping, and drinking. Four are hunched and huddled, but drinking on their own if I push them towards the water. Four are eating and looking at me like it's too early to wake up lol
I shut off the big light...
Out of our 9 easter egger chicks, two started acting weird yesterday. Thought they were cold outside so we turned on the CHE, it did drop here from the normal.
We lost one this morning. The other is still hunched over. In almost a standing sleeping ball. Barely chirping and moving.
We have...
