I still need to learn how to edit raw photos. I wonder if this laptop would tolerate it. Yeah, I can see how it would use up a lot of resources. This laptop gets bogged down rendering any video instantly (as in video editing). Can't you just get a Macintosh II? Those are for graphics design :p.

So long as it's got a decent chip and 4GB of RAM you probably could pop Linux on it and watch YouTube. I've used 10 years old computers before and most of the time they do just dandy.

My Mom and sister use a T420s with SSD. It'll stink less without a spinny.

My old Chromebook is still kinda useable last I checked. Worked with YouTube and all that. The other laptop, if it was functioning, would still be perfectly usable.
