They're like disposable cameras
I can get refurbished chromebooks for less than it takes to fill my gas tank.
I didn't think you were judging. 😅 I just wanted to point out I usually make better decisions than that. At least I used to.
I think chromebooks are sold on commission, I can't think of any other good reason they're pushed so heavily.
(Besides cheap and 'streaming capabilities ').
Thanks!
Like I said, it was slim pickings, definitely not my first choice.
Thanks for the recommendation, I can do that,
I'll expand the ram, that itself should help, not sure I want to mess with the hard drive yet.
Best I could get at the time, either that or a chromebook. (:sick)
I honestly thought it had solid state drive, I'll look in to updating it. Thanks for the help.
This is what I have, https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c07119838
I've always meant to expand the ram, which I'm fairly certain is the root problem but it hasn't happened yet.
The one that doesn't have a battery....they don't even make the battery anymore....
I've deleted bloatware, turned off Cortana (which takes an absurd amount of ram, turns itself on every update), completely deleted/disabled all pre-installed software. Yet it still struggles to play just mp3s...
I think my laptop is from 2016, bless its hard drive, it needs plugged in constantly and the hinges are broke. But it keeps plugging along. I've bought new ones but they're so slow and glitchy.
Still have a few Walkmans.
Oh, and a few Gameboys, ds's etc.
