I'm not sure why he's having troubles with that. You can try giving him probiotics to see if that helps.

That's a tough one. You just don't know how things will work out with a couple of flocks with a few roosters will turn out. A lot depends on space, personalities...you just never know. I keep mine separate, the ones I have can't live with each other LOL.

No, likely will not be able to live with another rooster but could have a couple of hens as companions in a separate small flock. He doesn't have to be able to mate them unless that's a priority for you.

I was just wondering if she may have been constipated and this why she prolapsed. I'd try to keep her bum cleaned a few times a week. Probiotics may be helpful. See that she's drinking well. Possible she just may not be thriving or have something else going on that's showing up as she gets...

How old is she now? Prolapsing young is not what you want. Do you think she was constipated? Hopefully this is a one time thing, it's good that the tissue stayed in.

Glad she's moving about and seems to be happy. I think leaving wrappings off for a short period of time is probably beneficial. Let's some air to the wound. You're doing a nice job taking care of her.

Time will tell how it heals. She has a lot of growing to do too. Glad she has a buddy, that's always good for moral!

I see that but am not sure what to make of it.

Updated photos can be helpful. I would not use a lidocaine patch. While there's some controversy about the safety of the use of products that contain medications that end in "caine" - some say it's fine to use for a short period of time, others say it's toxic...I'd opt to err on the side of...

I would not give a chick that young aspirin.

It will be interesting to see how much she does lose. If you don't mind, please do keep us posted on her progress and take photos along the way too. Photos often tell a story, and they help me and anyone else reading/looking for help in the future. Always something to learn.

I would look again and probe that leg a little just to be sure there's still nothing wrapped around it. I do see some hairs in the photo, those may be after the fact, but believe it or not, a hair wrapped around a tiny chick's leg can result in cutting off the circulation too. Do the best...

I see in another thread of yours that the leg had a band or something wrapped around the leg. Likely too tight and it cut off circulation. Looks like you are treating the foot well. Yes, I think it will probably auto amputate. Even though you chick suffered damage likely from loss of blood...
