Mine starter girls were all from McMurry. I got the rainbow layer package. I would order from them again. However, I live under an hour away so my chicks didn't have to travel very far and I think that helps. Good luck with the new chicks! It is a lot of fun.

My kids both entered birds in the Polk Co fair. This was a first time adventure for us. I have one in clover kids (pre 4-H club) and one that entered as Open class. The birds got two blues and one Reserve Champion! All that hard work and spoiling paid off. Just wanted to share.

Anyone near Des Moines have any chickens/roos that you would sell for butchering?
