I have been getting eggs to classrooms also. 50% hatch in a classroom is great. Just had someone bring back 3 chicks out of 3 dozen eggs. I had 17 chicks hatch out of 23 eggs THE SAME DAY!! Argh. I try to have hatches all spring so I know that the eggs are viable.

Our Albany hub is absolutely the best. I have also had chicks shipped and they will call you on a SUNDAY morning to ask if you want to go down and pick them up or wait till the mail gets to your local PO the next day. Fantastic people!

Poor little fuzzies! They will dry out once you have it cleaned up. I have had that happen. Actually, the first time I had ducklings they slobbered the water all over and the chicks with them had matted down fluff and were not very happy about it.
