Ugh, i hate when they act like that...

I also have heat lamps in all of my buildings. I just couldnt leave them to deal with these temperatures on their own. I also havent seen any of my birds outside of their coops.

Wing, no one can fault you for getting upset at an attack on the animals you raised and cared for. I think i can safely say that all of us here totally understand and would probably do the same if it happened to us. I am not too far from you, if you would like some help, please let me know.

It has been decided by myself and bruceh, that we are going to form a group here in York for poultry. This is not going to be like the other York poultry group. We are actually going to have an agenda for each meeting. Like incubating, chick care, choosing breeds, etc. I will post more...

Oh, another venture i have started is meat rabbits. Trying tobreed my doe's, so well, you know.. yum.. :)

My chicken math has gone in reverse since fall. At least until i fire up the incubator. I cant wait to have chicks, ducklings, and something new for me to hatch.....goslings! :D

If you dont want to spend the money to get a new incubator and cant find a place to rent one. I have made a cooler bator. It is an incubator made out of a cooler. It works really well too. If you would like i can send you the directions on how to make one. Or if anyone else is interested.. :)

He is doing as good as can be expected. Thank you for asking. :) It is hard for him to stay off of it due to school. But when he is home we try to keep him off of it as much as possible. It still swells up. We have to ice it when he gets home from school. Other than that he is in good spirits...

Well, he isn't exactly excited about me harching more chicks. Lol Yes they are mostly a bym but I know she has a wynodett(sp) rooster and a few hens. :)

Oh my gosh, a friend of mine, her mother just sent me a text. Seems as though she was told that I was still looking for eggs. They are collecting a dozen for me. I don't want to be rude or hurt their feelings... What do I do? Just graciously take the eggs, and then do what? Try to fit them in...

Thanks everyone. Will said thanks too. We go to the ortho Dr today at 2. I sure hope his bones are OK. It is still swollen and he cant put any weight on it at all. :( I will try to get a pic of him and his ankle later. I will also update you on what vthe Dr says. Thanks for the healing wishes! :)
