    Which way do his hives face? Ten feet is the general clearance suggested for the front of a hive, and you should be able to walk right beside or behind a hive without problems. Honey bees are not typically aggressive unless they are disturbed.

    Bobwhites roost in coveys on the ground and are very easy targets for hawks and foxes. Most escapees don't survive. :/

    We have some Bobwhites. We eat the eggs which are very hard to crack and peel due to their thick membrane. We have 2 males and 8 females. I love hearing the males calling in the morning.
